 Away v Horley 07/11
« Thread Started on Nov 7, 2009, 6:49pm »

We won 1-0 thanks to a Mitch While goal 52 seconds into the second half. I didn't actually see the shot as I was queing up to get me chips and curry sauce but I saw the ball sort of loop over the keeper and nestle in the back of the net.

It's not easy to describe the game today. We were the better side and had the lion's share of the possession but we never looked like thrashing them. 1-0 is never comfortable yet, with hindsight, today's result was as comfortable as 1-0's come.

As always, great food at Horley. Probably the best in the division. Nice coffee as well - far better than the overpriced rubbish served up at Cherrywood Road and The Rec. Just one glitch - their hand-pulled beer had run out so I was reduced to drinking Caffreys.

Home to Colliers Wood on Tuesday in a re-arranged league game. KO 7.45pm.

I see the ressies won 2-1 today as well which is a good result.
