Just a reminder that the Reserves are playing at home to Corinthian-Casuals Reserves in the Surrey Premier Cup tomorrow (Thursday). KO 7.45pm. They don't usually play on Thursdays but I wasn't aware of the rules barring us from playing this on Saturday as we've got floodlights so it's my fault. I know it's bonfire night but please try and get down there so i don't feel so bad! Besides - most of the displays are on Saturday this year.

I was gonna give a special mention to the annual Mytchett fireworks display but I've just found out that was held last Sunday.

The first half was very even and Camberley were probably the slightly better team, but went in 1-0 down after a 36 minute free kick was initially cleared off the line but slotted home from the rebound. There weren't many chances in the half as the teams cancelled each other out most of the time. So, a good start to the second half could have seen Camberley get back in the game, however Casuals started the better and scored again after 55 mins and from thereon controlled the game in most areas. A late rally saw Camberley awarded a penalty in the last minute, which was saved, and then in injury time substitute Josh Daniels beat the defence in the middle and struck a nice shot past the keeper to make the final score 2-1. On balance, Casuals deserved the win.

Dont get many chances to see the ressies so took that one last night. Although 1st half was failry even I always felt that Casuals were a little more composed than us and I would say they probably deserved a 1 goal lead. 2nd half they were clearly the better side and deserved their second and a combination of good defending, keeping and missed chances kept it at that. In all of this though no-one could fault the effort of the Camberley players and they probably deserved the goal at the end but as BS says the Casuals deserved to go through. Also waiting an explanation from the far side AR about the offside he gave from a throw in in the first half ?

Not a bad game to watch. Their no.11 deserved a goal for a good move during the second half but his shot flashed across the face of the goal.
Home to AFC Hayes tomorrow in the league.
