 ACL v Thatcham 04/11
« Thread Started on Nov 4, 2009, 10:52pm »

We lost 3-0.

No furthur details at the moment except to say Thatcham have only played two league games this season due to a good run in the FA Youth Cup where they eventually lost 4-2 at Gloucester City so it sounds like they've got a pretty decent side this season.

Next ACL game is at home to Binfield in the league on Thursday 12th. KO 7.45pm.

3-0, 3 individual errors.

Camberley were the better side throughout the whole of the first half despite being 2-0 down. Hit the bar within the first minute through Tom O'Reilly, keeper made a good save from an Oakley free kick and George Homewood had a good effort too. Both their goals came against the run of play. Both could have been easily avoided and we had ourselves to blame.

Second half again we started well, pushed them back. Had a few chances to claw one back, Oakley hit the bar, Charlie Pyle had a shot blocked. It just wouldn't fall for us in the right areas. Thatcham's 3rd goal was a penalty. In the second half the heads dropped and Thatcham dominated. 2 linesman were both poor today. It appeared neither of them were able to keep up with play, nor know the laws properly. In one instance, a Thatcham player was fouled, the ref didn't blow up, as Thatcham were in our penalty box 1 on 1, the ref brought the game back for the foul almost in line with their penalty box due to the lino flagging.

Not the greatest performance in the second half, and it needs to improve.
