Next game for Reserves, tomorrow, is an away fixture at Hanworth Villa. 3.0 ko. They have made a good start, so should be an interesting game.

We expected a good game and we got one. Hanworth Villa have made a very strong start to the season and it was therefore very pleasing for us to travel to them and dominate the majority of the game with some good football. The first half was a fiarly even affair, but we still had more of the ball and created more chances - it could easily have been 3-1 to us at half time - but in the end we reached the break 1-0 down by conceding a goal in the 44th minute when HV managed to drill a low cross into the box and stab the ball home, against the run of play. We managed to step up a gear in the second half and after 68 minutes we finally drew level when Steve MacDonald received the ball just outside the penalty area on the right and unleashed a great right foot volley past the keeper. This served to make our performance even better and on 87 mins Steve produced a left foot volley from the edge of the box to make it 2-1 and it looked like we might have got just rewards for the team efforts, but in the 3rd min of added on time HV launched a long straight ball down the middle that bounced and their striker managed to reach the ball and lob the ball into the net to make the result 2-2. A very frustrating final score at the end of a good game that we dominated in both halves. That's a big positive though, as it's the first game this season where we maintained our level of performance for both halves of the game. Good performances thoughout the team and substitutes who came on and made a difference to the play. The younger members of the squad are growing into their roles and the team is playing with a good attitude, just a bit unlucky at the end today
