In recent weeks this squad has shown that it has more to offer than we saw today, but the main thing is that we at least managed to keep the win rather than let it slip away - and we deserved the win. We must have created at least 10 good chances in this game but only managed to convert 3 into goals, but it was enough to win the tie 3-1. We opened the scoring after 12 mins when debutant Karl Winters scored from 8 yards after a series of interchanging passes across the edge of the Harefield penalty area. We then had another 4 good chances to score before half time but managed to not finish them off - which would have been a fair reflection on the way the half progressed. In the second half we started strongly and went to 2-0 after 53 mins when Kyle Wilkie struck home under pressure from a defender from 10 yards. 3 mins later the score was 3-0 when Michael Gregory netted from a pass by Adam Brice from a corner. All going very well at this stage with some good football being played, but after 65 mins we managed to lose concentration and conceded a breakaway goal and from then on we had the jitters for much of the time and allowed Harefield to gain in confidence and make the run in to the final whistle less comfortable than our earlier play had earned. But we did manage to hold out this time (although they hit the bar with a long shot). We just need to manage relax and hold our nerve better when we get ahead and more positive results will follow with performances like this. So, overall the players can be pleased with the win, but they know they will have to play their better game for the full 90 mins against better teams. Well done.

Good report BS thought the 8 and 6 looked decent, sorry do not know the names, also the 7 looks like a he could do a job out wide and scored a fine individual goal, with a bit more experience under their belt these lads could well be our future, well done to all, long may it continue.

No 8 is a player that the new manager Antonio has brought in, Karl Winters; No 6 is Adam Brice who is on loan from Aldershot Academy and No 7 is Kyle Wilkie who has come up through the Camberley Youth ranks and was in the youth team that me and Colin ran in the SYL - if you can remember that.
