Both senior teams playing away midweek fixtures the day after the Ryman Youth team had a hard away game was always going to be a stretch for players ... and so it was. We arrived for this game with 10 fit players and the knowledge that Paul Dadson would arrive sometime around 8.00 to help ... but we fielded 11 players as James Muir's dad put on a shirt for the first time since he retired 4 years ago to give us a target up front and the full complement of bodies, at least - thanks John for the first 40 mins... however, by the time the cavalry arrived we were 2-0 down due to 2 defensive slip ups. We reorganised at half time and the 2nd half was better and we lost 3-0 to a worldy goal that I would like to see their player ever reproduce. Fair play to the players who made the effort to be there and gave it a go but with the constraints of what we could put out as a team this was always going to be hard and at times we made a poor North Greenford team look a lot better than they are.
