I am sure you have started to hear rumours again about new expansion plans for Krooner Park. Lets hope these ones inject some life into the club and don't include any pointless attempt to take any of Crabtree Public Park. If they do try to encroach on Crabtree Park even slightly: they will only fail again and waste any remaining goodwill.

Are you talking about plans submitted re Krooner Park or plans submitted to build something directly on Crabtree Park that is nothing to do with the sports ?

Urm, no, you misunderstand the situation. I asked about Krooner plans. You are talking about something the residents asked for and had to fight to get. The pumping station itself will not be visible.
If your boss wants to cut down trees near the border between Krooner and Crabtree, it won't be allowed to. Waste of time and money. If he's got money to spend, why not replace your toilets.

No of course it will not. So many residents wanted it tht 3 people were noted as being in favour ?

I don't think there was any doubt about the pumping thing getting passed once we had a design we all agreed on. We did have public meetings and everything. I didn't bother writing a letter of support, there wasn't any point as it's not contentious. The only hard part was getting Thames Water to pony up the money in the first place and agree to build it for the people at the end of the street who need it.
Thanks for your interest, but I quite like the idea of Thames Water finally doing essential maintenance work on the sewers, it's kinda their job!
Not sure what relevance you think Thames Water's long overdue plumbing repairs have?

Reading that back, I should mention that a local guy called David did most of the work getting the pumping station sorted, badgering Thames Water and organizing the meetings etc. He deserves all of the credit. Kudos David.

I agree, but I don't think there is any chance of that being a problem in the spot where it is going to go. There was an alternate plan that located it elsewhere, but that would have been a problem so we killed that idea.
Anyway, back to the point. Anything about club plans?

Sorry the post was about developments around Crabtree Park and we are discussing one. Oh and I hope the contruction traffic isnt too much of a pain either.

The original post explicitly asked about expansion plans for Krooner Park. Are you saying that there are none?

But I am worried about the development of Crabtree Park in whatever form it takes. Little acorns etc. sometimes you have to go a little careful what you wish for. I would hate the community to start to lose such a well used local amenity.

So you would oppose building on or cutting into the northern edge of Crabtree Park?

The pumping station will be concealed in a special location in the south. The landfill is known to be much less disturbing in its area. But very disturbing plans maybe afoot for near the northern edge, one of the places with worst content and (council acknowledged) great value to the community. So, unless you know enough to enlighten us regarding those plans, the question remains...

I would have but clearly it is safe to build on so if whatever you are talking about leads to better facilities for the people of Surrey Heath then yes I do. Can you point me to the application on the Surrey Heath Website so that I can look at it ?
Can you qualify "Much Less Disturbing" means. Does that mean it is distrubing the application that has been passed with no objections from the local community ?
