Camberley 1 Tooting & Mitcham 1 With out doubt the best game at Krooner this season Tooting were second in the league and probably thought this would be a stroll, but Camberley played out of their skins and were unlucky not to win this one. Throughout the team they were a match for the opposition and showed a spirit and commitment that is a credit to the management and coaching staff, long may it continue, have to say that the lad playing in the no8 shirt for us looked class.

The second high .quality performance from the reserves in a row secured a point against another of the divisions stronger teams and well deserved it was. The team worked the formation with discipline and had to be patient and wait for their opportunities to come, and as the game progressed they did. Overall the possession in the game we probably even, but we had the better of the second half and were the better team as the game wore on. the deadlock was broken after 69 mins when Dollard Zola bundled the ball over the line after a goalmouth scramble that saw the ball hit the crossbar. By this stage T&M were getting frustrated at their inability to break through and we were good value for the lead. We kept playing well, but the game got more stretched as they changed to 3 players up front and with 1 minute of normal time left, Hamish was deceived by a mis-struck shot and the ball ended in the net to even the score. Frustrating and harsh on the keeper as he had played well throughout, with some very good kicks. However, that was that. The game was played in a good spirit with the ref not needing much player control. One of their players sustained a freak rib injury when he turned awkwardly and he was taken off to hospital, we wish him well and hope it wasn't too bad. well done to all the players, very rewarding to see.
