You guys do realise that, according to the planning application, the developer will be the one who ends up with the lease to Krooner Park if the plans go ahead?

And you are cool with loosing your grounds, and needing to ask permission to use your own pitch?

Tut tut. Here we again. Misrepresentations.
Surprised it took you so long Stephen to come back considering when the application went in.
My offer remains open. Happy to meet with you or anyone else that has an objection. I will listen closely to the reasons for the objections and would expect the same courtesy in return.
Feel free to pass on my offer to anyone else.

Sorry, no objection to the plan, but do not see why as this is a partnership with a private concern that the Football club needs to surrender the lease, saw Chris Goff earlier, perhaps someone will enlighten me.

So Millie & GB no doubt the plan is a no brainer as far as the future is concerned, however if it means the Football club has to surrender the long term lease it holds, it surely will be the demise of Camberley Town F.C. as it will have nothing other than the gate receipts and a derisory £15,000 per annum from the developers to run the club, all BAR income will go to the developers along with all lettings of the main pitch, the last home game against the team second in the table saw a gate income of £23.00 hardly enough to pay for half a linesman. Not totally against the plan but as far as I'am concerned the only priority is Camberley Town Football Club and its future, surely we don't want to be playing in the Aldershot Senior League in a few years time. ( no disrespect intended to ASL).

Mike sorry to say that is not how your posts read. It suggests to me that you are against it and are not the only one that I can see.
At the moment it is the planning issue that needs to get sorted. Once that is done then terms will have to be agreed for CTFC to surrender their lease something I will be insisting as a shareholder of the club is not done unless the terms are 100% correct for the club. In fact I will be writing to the Chairman in the next few days to ask those sort of questions.
Our ground is falling down, our pitch is poor despite the best efforts of the groundsman and we have no money. All very well be set against but perhaps you and the others that hold the view can come forward with a viable plan to regenerate the ground and club.

Repeating myself, no objection to the plan, just very concerned about the surrender of the lease.

Understand the concerns and yes the ideal situation would be redevelopment with a new lease agreement in place securing the future of the club!
If the place is redeveloped and the ground and training pitches are in place then the club has the chance to be successful. The youth set up is amazing and some very good players come through this system. Mix them in with players that will want to play at a nice ground and train on 3G twice a week and you're heading in the right direction. Good people/players would rather a good surface and training pitches than 50 quid a week.
The football club will be at the heart of the new complex making money so hopefully it's in the owner/investors interests to keep it alive and flourishing.
Of course it's into the unknown with a few aspects and maybe I'm being selfish wanting a comfy seat to watch footy from when I hang up my boots up. Moving forward and getting investment has to be a good thing in the right circumstances.

In that case Mick register your support for it.
At the moment the application is for the development. If and when it goes through then CTFC holds the key as nothing will happen as it is the lease holder without it giving the go ahead. As mentioned above I have sent a letter to Chris Goff and I await his answers with interest.

A few years ago this would have worked. But now the planning rules have changed, these days, the main thing you need to do in a planning application like this is prove it'll be 'financially sustainable'.
It's a ridiculously stupid situation, but I am afraid that making CTFC a second class citizen on Krooner Park is actually an integral part of the planning application. Then it will be too late.

I for one hope the development goes ahead . Without it Camberley will wobble around in the CCL in a third class ground with first class people pushing hard for better things for their teams which is what its all about the kids and their development not just in football but in life ! You need the investment to move forward and the investor will want make a profit its bloody life ! Who else is rushing in with investment ? Good luck to all.

There are people working behind the scenes who will protect the interests of the Club. A number of issues are commercially sensitive but the Club will be protected and no one will agree to changes in legal arrangements that do not 100% endure the future of the Club. Please do not listen to the anti brigade who are spreading statements which are untrue.

Good to see in the local Star Newspaper that the Krooner Plans have been approved. Dawning of a new era for the club.

What happens now ? 7-6 was close , do we appeal ? Did they actually go and look at what the application would have meant to Camberley Town FC ? I hope certain people dont lose interest in the club .

Interesting that the Planning Committee voted 13-0 to build a 3G pitch on Frimley Lodge Park on grassed areas - this appears to be acceptable but our request was to take on a strip of scrubland. The new pitch will be surrounded by 4m high fence and hired to local schools and football teams. Looks like it is ok for the Council to build on green space but no one else!
