Rescheduled for tomorrow, but looking at the weather forecasts not holding out too much hope. If it goes ahead then it's 3.00 ko

You are very quiet BS !
I got there at 2.35 and I think I may have missed the minibus by a few minutes !!!
Tring insisted the pitch was playable and didn't get a local ref in to inspect. Match Referee called if off when he arrived I believe. I didn't walk on the pitch but there was clearly no standing water anywhere on the pitch. Tring seemed keen to get the game on and they were not particularly happy that it was called off. shame I didn't get there early because I would have loved to have a chat with the ref to hear his thoughts.
Anyway home in time to watch Charlie Nicholas to deliver 2 great pieces of news for me.
Sure some BS frustration will appear here shortly.

A nonsense day. Sorry you made a wasted trip mate. Both teams wanted to play and we were actually getting changed when the ref called it off. There was a torrential downpour as we arrived and the pitch was saturated with the goalmouth a pond, but within half an hour it had pretty much gone and both teams were ready to play and more than a little frustrated - the ball rolled ... but he said it was a safety issue and all 3 of the officials agreed on the decision So a long trek back in the sunshine!

After last week's debacle at Tring we are scheduled to try again Saturday, but the weather prospects look even worse, so who knows? 3.00PM ko if we play.

And we got the game in. Travelling fans made their way up on mass (4). Tring shaded the first half including hitting the bar and I think Freddie Kelsey making a fantastic goal line clearance. 2nd half Tring took a deserved lead but from that point on we began to dominate. Dan scored an equaliser and we went close on a number of occasions. 1-1 at 90 mins meant extra time. We look really strong in the 1st period and should have been ahead but finally took the lead with 9 minutes left of the 2nd period. Could and should have scored a couple more but Tring scored with 2 minutes left. We help out easily and went through on away goals. Is this the first time that a Camberley side have ever gone through on away goals !!!
Well done to the team. Home draw in the next round.

A fair summing up GB. In the conditions, with the strong wind and heavy pitch it was never going to be a classic but I think both teams served up an entertaining game to watch, with plenty of commitment played in good humour, despite a whistle happy ref We got better as the match went on and by the tome we got to extra time we were the stronger team. Dan Jewell worked his socks off up front and deserved his equalising goal after 76 minutes. Dollard got the second after 99 minutes, which continues his run of scoring a goal a game and the whole team put in a shift that finally saw us getting back to the performance levels we had before the massive interruption of Christmas and weather. Imagine how good we might play if we all got to training Overall I think we deserved it, well done to everyone. Onwards!

And according to our opponents we had several first team players playing. I really dont know why people have to make things up.

Nothing "made up" mate - one of your players told our Captain you had 4 1st Teamers in. Not that it matters much really.
2 excellent tight games with plenty of ebb and flow in grim conditions - which I think were a credit to both teams.
Good luck in the next round and for the rest of the season. cheers

Sorry mate but look up the meaning of several.
It disappoints me that people have to put things like that. Of the team there on Saturday 1 of them is a first team regular. 2 coming back from not having played much and 1 who is out of form looking to force his way back. Is that not how a club should be run. Both you and I know that the line in your report suggested that a majority of our first team played.
Anyway agree with the rest of your post. I saw both legs and both were enjoyable games and IMHO I think you guys should have wrapped the tie up in the 1st leg. Hey ho it was good to get to dear old Cow Lane again been far too long and I wish your club the best for the rest of the season.

Looked up the definition of several and it is "more than 2 but not many". Does 4 not fit in with that? No one ever implied the majority of your players were first teamers and that never figured in any of the discussions that we had before during or after the game. Please accept our apologies if you have misconstrued that.
