Lost 1-0 to a worldy freekick halfway through the 2nd half.
What that doesn't tell is the story of the commitment of the players and Andy North the manager. This morning the side were down to 9. We managed to draft in 2 U17 players at very short notice to play. 11 players one of whom had a hamstring problem but we hoped to replace him with another player turning up late form work. That never materialised so it was left to that player to play all 90 minutes or for me to come on !!
All 11 players were fantastic and we deserved to win that game. The 2 U17 lads fitted in and the players who were there were all top notch. Well played all 11 of you.
The reserves are a hugely important part of our club and times are tough for them. We need to ensure that Andy is given the support to ensure we get through this season as it is a thankless task.

Spot on GB very enjoyable game which we really should have won in the first half with a little more composure in front of goal. Well done to all concerned. Shame the sub didn't get a run out!

GB has pretty much covered it, the only criticism of the team is that we don't take the chances we create. If we did, this and several other results could (and should) have been different. The officials had a bad day at the office culminating in Vinny getting a straight red card for questioning the referees eyesight ... in truth he was only saying what both benches had been thinking for most of the game Many thanks to Barrie for (a) finding 2 youth players at short notice (b) helping in the dugout and (c) putting on a kit, albeit we didn't need him. Much appreciated. Lots of positives out of the performance from the whole team and both youngsters earned the chance for more games
